Interview & Examinations - Middle/High Schools - Colleges & Universities
Many of the inquiries we receive for assistance involves Middle & High School students. We understand the administrative process that starts once a student(s) is under investigation and/or suspended for violations of school policies. Being involved in criminal activity or being arrested for a crime on school property is another matter. Middle & High School student policies and/or code of conduct can differ from county to county. Some schools also have police departments whose function is to protect the students, faculty, administration and others while on school property. They work in coordination with the school administration..
Students attending colleges and universities tend to be more harsh in terms of policy violations of students. This is due to the student being an adult. Most FL colleges and universities have police agencies that investigate and arrests anyone for crimes committed on campus.
Privately funded middle & high schools are different than state funded public schools, but have similar policies. In some private schools they have tougher policies as they are managed differently than public entities. There are often waiting lists for students to get in to private schools. Due to the rising threats in the schools, overcrowding, social issues, and other problems, the parents that can afford it place his or her child or teenager in private school.
Regardless of public or private schools, a Zero Tolerance policy exists for certain violations to include drug possession, usage, violent offenses, to name a few.
It should be noted not all teachers and faculty are without faults. There are numerous media accounts of male and female students, from 14-years old and up who have had consensual or nonconsensual sex, and/or given drugs as two examples. We can interview and test male or female students where the parent suspects some form of sexual activity with any person at the school, students or school employees.
All of our services are confidential and our firm works with many attorneys that specialize in representing juveniles when things go bad. This also includes representation of college and/or university students.
We also specialize in interviewing and testing students from foreign countries, and this is from our experience in conducting immigration based exams. In the past we have interviewed and tested people from Central & South America, Asia, and the Middle East.
Parental involvement is a requirement in accessing our interview and examination services. Not all juveniles are suitable to testing for various reasons. We also have special interview rooms set up as to allow the parents to be involved in the process. Contact us for a confidential evaluation. There is no obligation and all communications are confidential.
